Walt Disney World
Tips

43 square miles
of fun and excitement!

WELCOME FRIENDS

RACHAEL, RICHARD AND I
ARE HAPPY YOU ARE HERE

Please excuse me folks. I'm a little busy right now. I'll hand you over to my good friends Rachael and Richard for your tour of my biggest Resort, Walt Disney World. They know their way around better than I do. Have a wonderful time.

Four Major Theme Parks

If you have never been to Walt Disney World, you need to know that there are 4, count them, 4 wonderful theme parks as part of the 43 square miles of WDW.
THE MAGIC KINGDOM - 107 acres
EPCOT - 160 acres
DISNEY'S HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS - 154 acres
DISNEY'S WILD ANIMAL KINGDOM - 510 acres

Three Other Theme Areas

You also need to know that there are 3, count them, 3 other theme areas.

PLEASURE ISLAND (8 different clubs for night-life) - 6 acres
TYPHOON LAGOON (water park) - 56 acres
BLIZZARD BEACH (water park) - 59 acres

Best Times of the Day
To Attack the Parks

If you eat in the parks (we'll make recommendations), make preferred seating arrangements beforehand Depending
on the time of year, the parks will be open at different hours so check with Guest Relations for the schedule of Park hours during your stay at WDW. It is best to get a very early start each day and go back to the room or hotel/motel pool to rest in the mid afternoon or check out some of the other facilities. You can also use that time to go shopping at Disney Village Market Place. You might even want to catch an early afternoon movie at the AMC movie complex at Disney Downtown. In the late afternoon, early evenings, go back to the Parks for the exciting parades and fireworks that are well worth seeing. After the parades and fireworks many people go home but the Parks remain open and wait times on attractions are less. Save your shopping for the time when you are ready to leave the Parks. Many of the stores stay open from 1/2 hour to an hour after all of the rides and shows are closed for the evening .

Eating at Walt Disney World

All preferred seating arrangement can be made by calling
(407) WDW-DINE.

Breakfast:

If at all possible, grab an early breakfast at your hotel. Early morning park time is precious so don't waste it. A half-hour at a park restaurant breakfast translates into an hour-and-a-half extra wait time on line when you get out. If you want to enjoy eating where Disney characters roam and sign pictures and autographs, we recommend you make it dinner. Character dinners and breakfasts cost just about the same, so it's much smarter to get a wonderful buffet dinner for your money rather than a buffet breakfast that gives you far less for your dollar. In addition, character dinners take you out of the park during crowded times (so you're not missing much) while character breakfasts use up the least crowded time of the day.

We think that the very best eating place in all of Disney World is

ð ð ð Chef Mickey's (at the Contemporary Hotel, 4th floor.) If you do go, mention our names to the waiters and waitresses and see if you can find the ones that know us best.

if possible and always choose off-hours to eat. Avoid eating during the following hours: Magic Kingdom: avoid 12:00 - 2:00 pm and 5:00 - 7:30 pm EPCOT: avoid 12:00 - 2:00 pm and 7:00 - 9:00 pm Disney Studios: avoid 12:00 - 2:00 pm and 5:00 - 7:30 pm.

Animal Kingdom: avoid 12:00 - 2:00 pm and 6:00 - 7:30 pm.
